DWG-401 · VISUALIZATION · KEYSHOT

Product visualisation — see it before it exists in steel

Photorealistic renders made from the same CAD model that will be manufactured. Brushed stainless, powder coating, hot-dip galvanising and painted steel read as the real materials, because the geometry underneath is the real geometry.

WHY ORDER IT

What a render is actually for

DWG-402
PURPOSE
4 USES

A photo shoot needs a finished product, a studio and a day of someone's time. A render needs the model that already exists because the product has to be designed anyway — which is why it usually costs less and arrives earlier than the first prototype.

And unlike a photograph, a render can be changed: different colour, different finish, different configuration, same afternoon.

PROCESS
3 STEPS
Step 01 / MATERIALS

Materials and finish

Every surface gets the properties of the real material: roughness, reflectivity, the direction of the brush marks on stainless, the slight texture of powder coating.

Painted steel, hot-dip galvanising, anodised aluminium and stainless all reflect light differently. Getting that wrong is what makes a render look like a render.

If you already have a RAL number or a supplier's finish, I match it rather than guess.

Step 02 / LIGHT AND ANGLE

Light and camera

Studio lighting on a neutral background for catalogues, or an environment with context when the product needs to be understood in place.

The angle is chosen so the structure reads: a canopy from below shows the frame, a piece of gym equipment from the user's side shows how it is used.

Output is 4K PNG with a transparent background where you need to place it on your own layout, or a finished composition where you do not.

Step 03 / SCOPE

Scope and timing

Price depends on the number of frames, whether the model already exists and whether video is involved. A render from an existing model is the fastest thing I do.

If I designed the product, the model is ready and rendering is a short additional step.

If you bring your own CAD file, I check it opens cleanly and tell you honestly whether it is render-ready or needs repair first.

If you have a CAD file, send it. If you only have an idea, that works too — I design the product first and render it afterwards.
